About

What does Treun mean?

“Treun” is a Scottish Gaelic word meaning brave.

Treun Performance Consulting believes that bravery is at the heart of personal growth and elite performance. It takes courage to pursue ambitious goals, to reflect honestly, and to make meaningful changes—especially when they push you outside your comfort zone.

Bravery means facing your biggest challenges, thinking differently, and showing up when it’s easier to step back. It’s what separates those who quit from those who grow and excel.

That’s why Treun’s mission is simple:
To help you train the brave within.

A Canadian Company with Scottish Ancestral Roots

Treun Performance Consulting is proudly Canadian—founded by Cassandra, who has had the honour of serving her country through sport and as a civilian with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Cassandra also draws deep pride from her Scottish heritage. Through exploring her family’s lineage, she discovered stories of service—in war, medicine, and community—that shaped the generations before her.

Naming the company Treun is a tribute to that legacy. It’s a way to honour the resilience, courage, and sacrifice of her ancestors—qualities that continue to inspire the work she does today.
